Halton Hills Climate Action

Founded in 2019, we press four levels of government for positive action on climate.

We do this with rallies (at least 35 so far), letters to politicians, delegations at Council, petitions, and in-person meetings with elected representatives.

We also provide climate education at farmers’ markets and other public events, and through occasional webinars.

Currently we have two volunteer teams focussed in specific areas:

  • The Town team encourages Halton Hills staff and Council to work towards net-zero emissions, energy-efficient housing developments, and climate-friendly urban planning.

  • The Trillium team deals with Ontario and federal issues, including Highway 413.
